TechColumbus is looking for an experienced, dynamic Sales person to join their team!  Over 700 members strong, TechColumbus is the catalyst for technology-driven economic growth in Central Ohio, they work to create new companies, strengthen existing businesses, open doors to technology resources, help promote and attract the next generation of high-wage/high-growth industry sectors, support the attraction and retention of talented people, and promote opportunities for all citizens. Reporting directly to the VP of Member Services & Marketing, Membership Sales is responsible for selling new memberships to prospect companies.  Member sales will utilize consultative relationship selling that includes generating leads, qualifying leads, initial contact of prospects, exploring the prospects needs, explaining the value of membership to the prospect relative to the context of their business, following up and closing the sale.   As a member of the Marketing, Membership & Platform Lab team, Membership Sales will also assist with strategy development and new initiatives. 

Qualifications

Education

  • Business or Technical Degree
  • Professional Sales Training

Experience

  • 3-5 years of value based Sales & Business Development experience, meeting or exceeding quotas
  • Technology Related Industry Experience is a Plus
  • Proficient with Office Suite programs

  • High level of Professionalism, Composure, Confidence and Emotional Maturity
  • Flexible & Collaborative Team Player willing to dig into the details
  • Strong Sales background & ability to Influence and Close sales opportunities
